2012 James returns to NYC to take 1st assistant position at Leutwyler Studio
This is a shot from my former life as an assistant in NYC. I’m going back to the big apple at the behest of photographer, Henry Leutwyler who has offered me first assistant position. Wow, what an opportunity. It will be a huge adjustment after having been herding goats in Maine for 2 years and shooting (however infrequently) on my own. I’m excited to get back in the fast-lane with one of the industry’s most talented heavy hitters while at the same time apprehensive at what this means for my young family. Thankfully, Mr s Leutwyler eems also sensitive to the topic. Let the future unfold. I’m facing the challenge with sober optimism and gratitude.
