I drove through the night to get to NYC in time for my 20 minute appointment with Manhattan’s busiest pastor. With 20 minutes total, there was no time to fumble with lighting. This shot was done on the sidewalk on 35th street, I think.
I'm James Allen Walker, a freelance photographer who shoots assignments for World Magazine. I set up worldontheroad as part of a proposal to Editor, Marvin Olasky with the purpose of convincing him that he should send me on the road on my motorcycle to shoot assignments along the east coast. My goal was to get myself more assignments, save World money, and document the journey along the way. Well, as you see; it worked to some degree.
