As a photographer shooting for a magazine its frustrating sometimes when your vision of a great photograph doesn’t align with the judgement of the photo editor. I think this is just a sweet portrait and would have loved to see it printed. Oh, well.
I'm James Allen Walker, a freelance photographer who shoots assignments for World Magazine. I set up worldontheroad as part of a proposal to Editor, Marvin Olasky with the purpose of convincing him that he should send me on the road on my motorcycle to shoot assignments along the east coast. My goal was to get myself more assignments, save World money, and document the journey along the way. Well, as you see; it worked to some degree.
